TCP port monitoring

Pingstack opens a TCP connection to your host and port from your probe regions and alerts you when it stops connecting. Use it for databases, mail servers, SSH and anything without an HTTP endpoint. Public addresses only.

How it works

  1. Add the host and port.
  2. Pick the interval and regions your plan allows.
  3. Route it to a notification group.

Common setups

  • Postgres, MySQL or Redis exposed to an app server
  • SMTP and IMAP on a mail server
  • SSH on a bastion host
  • Game servers and homelab services
FAQ

Common questions

Can Pingstack reach a port on my private network?

No. TCP checks only connect to public addresses. Private and cloud metadata addresses are blocked.

Does it log in or send data?

No. It only checks that the connection opens.
