Connect Pingstack to thousands of apps
Zapier sends Pingstack events to the tools our built-in alerts don’t reach, and lets other apps act on your monitoring. Zaps can send a heartbeat when work finishes, pause a check during planned maintenance, or post an update to an open incident.
Triggers
Zapier hears about each event within seconds, and each trigger can be limited to a single check.
- Check is down, Check is degraded and Check recovered.
- New incident, Incident updated (severity changed or someone posted an update) and Incident resolved.
Each event includes the check’s name, type, target and status, the incident’s cause and timing, and a link back to the check.
Actions and searches
- Send ping: record a heartbeat for a heartbeat check, optionally with a value.
- Create check: add a website or heartbeat check.
- Pause check and Resume check.
- Post incident status update: add an update to an open incident as the person who connected Zapier.
- Find check by name, with find-or-create, and Find open incident for a check.
Ideas to start with
- Maintenance windows. When a “maintenance” event starts in Google Calendar or Outlook, pause the affected checks, then resume them when it ends. You won’t get paged for planned work.
- Business heartbeats. Send a ping for every new order, payment or sign-up. If they stop arriving, the heartbeat check goes down, so you hear about a broken checkout even when the site itself is up.
- Backups and jobs you can’t edit. Ping when a backup file lands in Google Drive, Dropbox or S3, or when a GitHub Actions run finishes.
- An incident log. Add a row to Google Sheets or Airtable for every resolved incident, ready for monthly uptime reports.
- Follow-up tasks. Open a review task in Linear, GitHub Issues, Asana or Trello when an incident resolves.
Set it up
- In Zapier, create a Zap and choose Pingstack as the trigger or action app. You can also start from the Zapier card on Pingstack’s Channels page.
- Sign in to Pingstack when Zapier asks, pick the account and approve access. An Owner or Admin approves the connection.
- Build the rest of the Zap and turn it on. You can see and disconnect Zapier any time under Connected apps in Pingstack.
Prefer your own code? The same events are available as webhooks, and everything else through the REST API and MCP server.
